E Response – Back office and payroll finance

After eight years in the recruitment industry, brothers Paul and Joe Alekna felt the time was right to branch out on their own. In 2003 E Response was formed and, since then, the Redditch-based company has gone from strength to strength.
Recruitment Finance Solution 
Providing both temporary and permanent staff to the office administration and industrial sectors, the company recruits for a multitude of positions, from packers and fork-lift truck drivers, to secretaries and receptionists.

E Response has grown steadily since its inception. Paul says, “It’s difficult to start up in this competitive industry, but with perseverance and hard work you can achieve success. Our biggest hurdle initially was gaining trust from clients in order to generate new business, and so it was important for us to be able to spend time proving ourselves and nurturing client relationships.”

Part of their strategy involved employing the services of the Recruitment Finance Division to manage the back office functions whilst they focused on the business.

Paul comments, “We contracted with the Recruitment Finance Division right from the beginning, as we wanted to concentrate on establishing the business and didn’t feel that we had the right skills set to manage finance and payroll as well. We chose the Recruitment Finance Division because of their flexibility - for example, our fees are proportional to the success of each month, so if we had a bad month at the beginning then we didn’t have the double blow of having to pay high set fees.”
